Hasidic Man In Williamsburg Latest Victim Of Possible ‘Knockout Game’

knockoutA 26 year-old Hasidic man walking along a Williamsburg street Sunday night became the latest victim of a possible “knockout game,” attack, the NY Post reports.

This marks the tenth incident in N.Y. in the past couple of weeks to have been reported as a “knockout game” attack.

Eli Leidner, 26, was knocked down by a man and woman at 10:40 p.m. at Bedford Avenue and Taylor Street. He wasn’t badly hurt, according to The Post.

“Two people came from the back of me and hit me in the front in my face,” the victim told video journalist Shimon Gifter. “They just laughed and ran away. They didn’t say a word. I was running after them, screaming for help and Police showed up.”

“Police interviewed me and hate crime interviewed me. I believe it’s a knockout,” he said.

  1. There are only so many Shomrim available. Perhaps more people will join now at least temporarily.

Some are suggesting that it is time to consider carrying some kind of weapons, perhaps some adults may have to carry actual guns as is done in Israel, I believe. They could serve as auxiliary police as well. The perpetrators are willing to chance murdering their victims and must be treated as murderers or at least attempted murderers. Even if not, what they are doing is extremely dangerous at best.

None of this is simple and would have to be done legally.
