A Yungerman from Westgate was airlifted to the hospital this afternoon following a serious crash.

The crash occurred at about 2 PM at the intersection of Hope Chapel and New Central, and involved a dump truck. The vehicles ended up in the nearby woods, with the Yungerman’s vehicle crashing into the tree.

Lakewood Hatzolah BLS and ALS members responded to the scene, along with medical personnel from Jackson.

The driver, 34, was reportedly semi-conscious when help arrived.

He was transported by Hatzolah to the Jackson High School, and was flown from there to Jersey Shore Medical Center. He is said to be in stable condition.

A name for Tehillim will be posted when available.
