If the facts are as stated, the fact that the woman didn’t go to the police, suggests the alleged perpetrator probably was very happy to be safely in police custody since sex criminals rarely die in Israeli prisons.
What exactly is the relevance of this person’s relationship to admorim? What is the point of including it in the article? I personally can’t think of even one good reason for the inclusion.
‘that his client is not responsible for his actions”
If he is NOT RESPONSIBLE, then who is? Is everyone today deranged and insane?

There is a very good reason for the editors to have included the point about the person’s “relationship to admorim”. It reinforces the frequently stated warning to members of the frum tzibur to exercise caution and not to trust anyone simply based on who they are “related to”. Its better, expecially for women and children, not to allow any strangers into the home, no matter who “they know”.
