Sen. Kirsten E. Gillibrand wasn’t surprised when Americans began to get letters saying their health insurance policies had been canceled.
Mrs. Gillibrand, New York Democrat, said Sunday that President Obama simply should have been “more specific” when he declared that those people who liked their insurance could keep it, a pledge that clearly has been broken amid growing reports of Americans being booted from their plans because the insurance policies don’t comply with the standards in Obamacare.
“We all knew,” Mrs. Gillibrand said on ABC’s “This Week,” referencing the fact that she and many others were fully aware that Obamacare would result in cancellations.

So, are we just going to sit back and do nothing while our so-called “leaders” knew he was lying and said and did nothing?!?

The article does not say what the headline says, i.e., that Sen. Gillibrand knew that President Obama was “lying” when he spoke of people keeping their existing insurance plans.
President Obama omitted information necessary to make the statements he did make about keeping insurance policies not misleading. That’s lying, though some people would call it flim-flamming but not outright lying.
What President Obama omitted from his blanket assurance was that if an existing plan is changed by the insurance company or other sponsor offering the plan, then no one could keep the old plan, because the old plan no longer exists. That is what in fact is happening, and unwinding the new plans are turning them back into the old plans is something the insurance carriers control, not the government. This is not the first presidential flim-flam, and it won’t be the last. The important question is what we do about it.
Since second-term presidents are lame ducks, the solution is not per se electoral. Commenter No. 1 fails to recognize that President Obama has already been constitutionally kicked out by the presidential term limit. Ending the term limit would change a president’s focus and make him/her more cautious about preserving his/her third-term chances.
We are at that awkward stage where it is too late to work within the system, yet too early to execute them all.

However unlike you who will continue to support him till the day you depart, I see this as being yet another reason this horrendous piece of trash legislation along with all the thousands of regulations needs to be REPEALED NOW!

a president becomes a lame duck when he cant pass any policies something which might happen in 2014 if people have the guts to vote republican
additionally, the whole democratic party should be voted out because it was passed on a party line basis
Uhuh! So, the Obama law makes people lose insurance after all. And it also charges a fine against anyone who doesn’t have health insurance. And this is Obama’s “signature domestic policy” achievement! This guy is the biggest crook to be President in my lifetime, and that includes comparing him to Richard Nixon!
