Toronto’s City Council voted overwhelming voted overwhelming to strip Mayor Rob Ford of some of his powers in the latest attempt to box in the brash leader who has refused to resign in spite of mounting pressure over his drinking and drug habits and erratic behavior, The Associated Press reported. The motion was approved in a 39-3 vote Friday and suspends Ford’s authority to appoint and dismiss the deputy mayor and his executive committee, which runs the budget process. Ford vowed to fight the decision in court.

the guy is a menuval of the highest possible order. anyone who thinks that such a person should be supported because of his conservative views is mislead. we have an obligation as frum jews to recognise moral behaviour and ethical conduct when chossing to support one candidate over another. it’s an avla that he hasn’t been kicked out onto the street yet.
