The Jerusalem Magistrate Court on Thursday 4 Kislev 5774 convicted Sheikh Raed Salah of incitement to violence. Said, who heads the Israel Islamic Association Northern Branch was acquitted on charges of incitement to racism.
The case in question addressed a sermon given by the defendant in 2007 on Har Habayis.
Said has been imprisoned in Israel on numerous occasions after being convicted of working to funnel money to Hamas and other terrorist-related activities. He is a familiar face in the Israeli court system, one who is open in his support of anti-Israel activities while enjoying his rights as a citizen of the country.
