Former Minister of Justice Professor Yaakov Ne’eman told Israel Radio on Thursday, 4 Kislev 5774 that he told colleagues throughout the trial against Avigdor Lieberman that the former foreign minister will be acquitted.
Ne’eman explained that the decision by Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to indict Lieberman was the result of “political pressure from within his office”, pointing out it was clear the prosecutor lacked evidence for a conviction.
Ne’eman feels that in the case of Lieberman, the attorney general was trying to play the role of the investigator, which is the job of police, and based on the information on hand, there was no justification for an indictment.

For 17 years the Zionist prosecutors searched under the earth for something to accuse him of and came up empty handed. Why did they give up? The Justice system in Israel at their best!
sounds reasonable explanation why it dragged on for so long.
now the justice (?) department should be investigated for this transgression of justice.
