There is no doubt that as negotiations between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) continue under a media blackout, so does the Third Intifada. Realizing the agenda and the need to promote the negotiations headed by Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, state-run radio and television all but ignore so-called intifada attacks, firebomb, rock and other attacks against Jewish motorists on the roadways of Yehuda and Shomron.

These attacks have increased tens if not hundreds of percent over recent weeks, including daily firebomb attacks, but the media remains silent. B’chasdei Hashem there have not been fatalities or serious injuries, permitting the media blackout.

Benny Katzover, who heads the Shomron Residents’ Committee told Kol Yehudi on Wednesday, 3 Kislev 5774 “that as Minister Livni moves ahead with the negotiations with the Arabs the rock terrorism increases.” He cites that over the past two months, since the resumption of talks with the PA, there has been a significant increase in rock-throwing attacks.

“From past experience it is clear to all that the very decision to negotiate with terrorism results in compromised security. We endured this during the Oslo Agreement as well as after the expulsion of Jews from Gush Katif. Now we see it again today as Israel conducts negotiations with the enemy.”
