Lt. Achiya Klein, who was seriously wounded in the Gaza border area bomb attack on erev Shabbos was transported from Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva to Tel Hashomer Hospital. The young officer remains in serious/stable condition.

Soldiers including combat engineers were preparing to blow up a smuggling tunnel in the Kissufim area when the bomb was detonated against them. Five soldiers were injured, with Klein the most serious. The soldiers who sustained light injuries have already been released from the hospital.
