Crowds Clutter NYC Marathon But Not Enough To Spoil It

marath.jpgThe New York City Marathon went off without a hitch Sunday with a record number of participants.

While having a record number of runners could have been a huge problem with crowding, especially around the tight areas, the marathon implemented a new plan this year. They broke up the runners into four waves with different start times. Runners were also limited in what they could run with.

The new plans seemed to work for the most part.

The only real logistical nightmare seemed to be leaving the scene after the race. It took some people an hour to get out of Central Park and reunite with their families because of the clutter.
