In his remarks pertaining to MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Yaakov Litzman, Yisrael Beitenu party leader MK Avigdor Lieberman stated “once a traitor always a traitor”.
Speaking during an interview for the weekend Yediot Achronot, Lieberman stated bringing the chareidim from opposition to the coalition is not an option. He explained that regarding the loss of his candidate Moshe Leon in the Jerusalem election he is not angry at PM Netanyahu, for the latter was straightforward with him all along, signaling he would not come publically in support of Leon. He added that he is quite angry at Litzman, stating he was the first person he spoke to about Leon’s candidacy “and he even shook my hand on it and promised his support.”
Lieberman explains the plan was sound and Leon would have gotten in if not for Litzman’s betrayal. Lieberman rejects all of Litzman’s explanations after the fact because he assured him the chassidish vote in the election and he failed to deliver.
“This just goes to show you that one who is a traitor once will do it again and he betrayed Porush in the last municipal elections and this time around, Leon.” Regarding his friendship with Deri Lieberman states it remains strong and that he is not angry at Deri either, just Litzman. He explains from the very moment that Deri gave his word to back Leon; he did so with all his political might.

maybe Litzman promised and the Chassidic rebbes decided not to support Lion on their own?
Ha ha. The jokes on Lieberman. Politics by definition is *always* a back-stabbing business.
