Williamsburg: Frum Man Shot On Friday Night In Attempted Robbery

nypdn1A resident of Williamsburg was shot in an attempted robbery, Friday night.

Sources tell YWN that an individual approached a Hasidic male around 9:30PM in front of 70 Clymer Street. He displayed a firearm, and demanded his wallet. The man explained that he is an observant Jew, and does not carry anything on Shabbos. A struggle ensued, and the gun was fired multiple times, hitting the 27-year-old victim in his legs.

The NYPD along with Williamsburg Hatzolah and Shomrim responded in seconds, and began treating the victim, as well as securing the crime scene. Hatzolah transported the victim to the Bellevue Trauma Center in Manhattan, where he underwent surgery on Shabbos afternoon.

Thanks to the diligent work of the NYPD’s 90th precinct, it’s Commanding Officer Mark Depaolo, Lieutenant Dorothy (the Squad Commander), And Inspector Michael Kemper of Brooklyn North Detective Squad a suspect was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon. The NYPD was greatly assisted by the Williamsburg Shorim in this investigation.

  1. ברוך ה׳ they caught the suspect. Some gentiles are really dumb! Most gentiles know that religious Jews don’t carry their wallets in their pockets (not referring to an Eruv), from Friday night until Saturday night.

  2. Mr. Deblasio will make sure that all these chayos will be off the streets if he gets elected.

Please don’t forget to vote for him on Tuesday!

    (Sarcasm as it’s best)
