Over 1,000 mispallalim merited visiting Kever Yosef on Wednesday night, the eve of 27 Cheshvan 5774 ahead of Yom Kippur Katan. The visit was arranged in coordination with the IDF. The visitors arrived under the cover of darkness in line with IDF protocol.

Among the mispallalim were the Lelover and Tuluner Rebbes Shlita, who also met with area rabbonim including Rabbi Elyakim Levanon Shlita, who is the rav of the Shomron region. There were also a number of prominent rabbonim from the Nadvorna Chassidic Court.

Gershon Mesika, the head of the Shomron Regional Council stated that the zechus of Yosef HaTzaddik unifies Am Yisrael as all types of Yidden come together as one harmonious group to the holy site.

IDF soldiers protecting the holy site were targeted by Arabs in rock-throwing attacks. There were no reports of injuries.
