After Israel kept its part of the deal, the second wave of terrorist releases, the negotiations between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) may continue. 26 terrorists, all of whom were serving prison sentences for murder, were released by Israel during the night of 26 Cheshvan 5774.

Following the release PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) did not waste time, announcing to the media he will not sign a peace agreement with Israel for as long as a “single Palestinian prisoner” remains incarcerated in Israel. Addressing Ramallah residents following the release of the terrorists, Abu Mazen capitalized on the event and vowed there will be no agreement until “all of the prisoners” are released by Israel.

There was no comment heard from any of the Israeli officials involved in the ongoing negotiations.
