Two people have been tragically killed in a fire in East 15th Street and Avenue I, Wednesday morning.
According to the Breaking911.com news website, the fire was in a 2 story private home located at 848 E 15th Street. FDNY EMS reports two fatalities, and three patients with minor injuries (total of 5). The ages of the victims are still unknown.
There are numerous news choppers overhead, and the street remains closed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the FDNY Marshall’s are on the scene.
It is unknown if Misaskim is required in this tragic incident.

Authorities say two people died and three others were injured in an early morning fire at a private home in Brooklyn.
The blaze started at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday at the 2-story house at 848 E. 15th Street.
Police say a 91-year-old woman was found dead at the scene. A 63-year-old man was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Three other people suffered minor injuries and were treated at a hospital.
The 2-alarm fire was brought under control about one hour later.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No other details were immediately available.
