New York City mayoral hopeful Joe Lhota says former mayor Rudy Giuliani will soon make his first appearance campaigning for him during the general election.
Lhota was a deputy mayor in the Giuliani administration.
Supporters credited Giuliani with the city’s historic drop in crime. Detractors accused of him of being divisive and confrontational.
Giuliani urged Lhota to run for mayor. He campaigned sparingly for Lhota in the Republican primary. He has not appeared at all since Lhota became the GOP nominee.
Lhota’s Democratic rival, Bill de Blasio, often negatively invokes Giuliani’s name.
Lhota says he is “sick and tired” of the attacks on his former boss.
Lhota says no firm campaign plans for Giuliani have been set.

Rudy Giuliani should stand with Lhota by Ground Zero, since 9/11 is what he is best remembered for.
This will be the best & perhaps the only placer worthwhile to spend time campaigning.
Bloomberg should also campaign with Lohta.
