A veteran Yerushalayim school principal has been arrested for allegedly defrauding millions of NIS from the Ministry of Education. The alleged fraud was perpetrated by using fictitious names and submitting them to the ministry.
Three avreichim were arrested in Yerushalayim and Beit Shemesh about a year ago on suspicion on collecting state funds for hundreds of fictitious students in Bnos Yerushalayim. In addition, they used the Keren Moshe as a front to channel the state funds.
It now appears that case is not closed for the arrest of the principal is reportedly related to those arrests last year.
As a result of the arrest of the principal, that school will remain closed for two weeks.
