Earlier this week, YWN-ISRAEL reported on the growing isolation among Shas leaders towards former party head Eli Yishai, who stood at the helm for 14 years.
This new reality, which many feel will lead to the destruction of the party, was apparent at the faction meeting, which was held on Monday, 10 Cheshvan 5774 in the home of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L.
While the media was invited to capture the photo op, Yishai was conspicuously missing, perhaps angered after being ignored at the atzeres for Maran ZT”L on Sunday.

Maran zt”l himself distanced Eli Yishai from Shas by appointing Aryeh Deri the Part Chairman. Why should Shas follow a different path from that set out by Maran zt”l?
