Shas leader Aryeh Deri announced that the name of the party’s Mayan HaChinuch education network is being changed to Bnei Yosef in memory of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L.
Deri explained that he consulted with the rabbonim serving on the party’s Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael and it was agreed that since the education network represents the rav’s lifelong effort to reach out and bring the children back to Yiddishkheit, the change was most appropriate.
