After the discovery of the terrorist tunnel from Gaza leading near a kindergarten in the southern Israeli community of Gan HaShloshah, the IDF has halted the transfer of construction materials into Gaza.

The head of the Eshkol Regional Council, Chaim Yellin, announced on Sunday afternoon 9 Cheshvan was “very far from any Israeli community but nevertheless I believe officials must rethink the decision to remove some of the area security”.

IDF Southern District Commander Major-General Sami Turgeman on Sunday morning, 9 Cheshvan 5774 ordered the halt of transfer of any and all construction materials into the Hamas controlled area. Just recently the IDF reported 1,244 carrying construction materials traveled from Israel to Gaza via the Kerem Shalom Crossing in September 2013.
