A motorcyclist accused of bashing an SUV driver with his helmet has been arraigned in the growing criminal case surrounding a New York City road-rage beating.
James Kuehne has been released on $200,000 bond after being charged with gang assault and other offenses. He didn’t enter a plea.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office says the 31-year-old Kuehne also broke part of the SUV’s back window with his helmet.
Defense lawyer Joseph Mure Jr. says Kuehne has worked as a plumber for 13 years.
He’s the seventh motorcyclist charged in a Sept. 29 confrontation that started with a fender-bender and escalated into broken bones and bloodshed. An eighth biker was arrested, but prosecutors didn’t file charges, at least for now.
