Thursday night and erev Shabbos, 7 Cheshvan, marks the yahrzeit of Rav Meir ben R’ Yaakov Shimon Shapira of Lublin ZT”L, Rosh Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and founder of the daf yomi. This year, 5774, marks the 80th yahrzeit.
The large parking lot before the road leading to the tziyun will be used to permit mispallalim to leave vehicles. Water fountains and rest rooms will be operating in that area to accommodate the large expected crowd.
Egged is stepping up bus service to Har Menuchos on Thursday night and erev Shabbos to accommodate those wishing to use public transportation.

Rav Yehuda Meir ben Yaakov Shimshon had NO children ,I think it would be nice for people to say kaddish for him on the 8th of Mar Cheshava.(his YARITZIET).
How blessed we are today that Rav Shapira had the foresight to create such a great legacy and have had millions of us comitted to his dream.
