Was there every such a huge levaye in history? Probably Aaron Hakohen. Anyone else? There were lots of non-Sephardim including many non-Sephardic Gedolim. What a kiddush Hashem!
I can just imagine the Baruch Haba this Gadol HaTorah got up there in Heaven; a tzaddik who spent every spear moment learning Torah.
‘spare moment’ not ‘spear’
I wish there’d be a way to correct it once it’s sent.
You should not be so surprised that there were non Sepharadim at the lavaya. Whether one is Ashkenazi from Hungary, Latish, Polish, Moroccan, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Russian , Chasidic etc etc ( you get the message), A Jew is A Jew. Period. A Kiddush Hashem works when we behaves accordingly toward the Goyim, among one another (Yid to Yid) it should not even be an issue.
BTW it should read “was there EVER” not every.
We need more Tzaddikim in our world.
Allan, it should read “behave” not behaves.
EIN OD MILVADO!!
MI KI AMCHAH YISRAEL!!!
No one could give a Hesped for Chacham Ovadya Yosef
No one could give a Hesped for a Malach!
