Am Yisrael lost a great leader, a unique posek in this generation. I merited meeting him, consulting with him, receiving advice and viewing the light that shined from him. The death of Maran HaGaon HaRav Chaim Ovadia Yosef ZT”L leaves a whole in the leadership of Am Yisrael, especially among Sephardim.

MK Rav Menachem Eliezer Moses: In my name and that of my party I express our profound sorrow and huge pain over the death of Maran HaRav Ovadia ZTVK”L, a great loss for the entire Jewish People.
