Many people are heading to Har Nof, gathering outside the home of Maran HaGaon HaRav Chaim Ovadia Yosef ZT”L on Kablan Street. It is apparent from the faces of those already present that they feel the need to share this loss with others, unable to endure the pain on their own.

Police and EMS agencies including Magen David Adom, Ichud Hatzalah and Zaka are already meeting and deploying forces in different areas of the city, including Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, Har Nof, and the Kosel. Efforts are already underway to gather tens of thousands of bottles of water as commanders of these agencies are aware that hundreds of thousands of mourners are likely to take part in the levaya of the gadol hador.

The levaya for Maran HaGaon HaRav Chaim Ovadia Yosef ZT”L will begin at 18:00 from Yeshivat Porat Yosef in the Geula area of Yerushalayim and from there head to Sanhedria, where the kvura will take place.
