Chief Rabbi David Lau and Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef suggested that the parties vote for the current members of the council and leave the ruling council in place. This is what they agreed to do by the end of the meeting, so the current council will continue serving under the new chief rabbis, barring any last minute changes of course.
