Bat Ayin Underground Prisoner Denied Early Release

jail3The Supreme Court on Tuesday, 27 Tishrei 5774 rejected an appeal from Jewish prisoner Ofir Gamliel, who is serving a 15-year sentence for his role in the so-called Bat Ayin Underground. He was sentenced in 2003.

After a district court rejected his petition for early release, Gamliel’s attorney turned to the Supreme Court. Honenu attorney Shmuel Medad calls the court’s decision a “continuation of the discriminatory policy against Jewish prisoners”.

In February 2013, the prison parole board decided to release Gamliel on good behavior after serving two-thirds of his sentence, as is customary in the prison service.

However his release was delayed when the state appealed the parole board decision in March 2013.

  1. Moshe Katzav, discredited former Israeli president, who was found guilty of rape, gets leave from prison; Ofir Gamliel does not get any leave.

    Why?

Katzav only is a danger to women, Gamliel is a danger to Arabs.

Moral: It is better to pick on those who can’t defend themselves (like women) rather than the enemies of the Jews, the Arabs.

Bottom line: Justice is blind, totally!!

  2. Maybe the Bat Ayin Underground should kidnap a soldier or two… that seems to work wonders with getting folks out of jail
