Yossi Kletzkin, an Elad resident and Sruly Porush campaign worker, was attacked by juveniles in Elad on Monday, 26 Tishrei 5774.

In his first statement, Kletzkin reported he was attacked by the delinquent youths as he posted Porush election posters. He later stated he encountered the youths tearing down Porush posters and rebuked them, after which he was hit with pepper spray. There were reports from party activists of a stab wound but those reports are unfounded. He was not stabbed or cut in any way.

Kletzkin was admitted to a Petach Tikvah hospital overnight.

Yahadut Hatorah activists call the election related incident “crossing a dangerous red line” as the situation heads up ahead of the municipal elections, which will take place on 18 Cheshvan 5774 (October 22, 2013).
