A two-story building in the center of Yerushalayim was set ablaze in another arson attack in the capital on Sunday, 25 Tishrei 5774. The building is located on Volch ( וולך) Street near Jaffa in the center of the city. This attack follows the arson attack in which a Pisgat Ze’ev shul was targeted. The paroches of the Aaron Kodesh was set ablaze and investigators have determined the fire was set intentionally.

Fire department spokesman Assaf Averes reports “the building was packed with seforim from the floor to the ceiling. As firemen searched the burning building they located a man living on the top floor and he was evacuated without incident. The preliminary investigation points to arson.”
