One might say that an impressive quantity of “Arbes” (chick peas) was prepared in the Vishnitz community this Shabbos, parshas Bereshis 5774 as no less than 36 families were holding a shalom zachor for their newborn sons.
In addition, there was a significant amount of simcha for the girls too as 27 kiddushim took place during Shabbos as well. The kiddushim were held for girls born in the community over Yomtov.
It is pointed out that more boys were born over Yomtov but the 36 represents those born that week, while the number of kiddushim represents the number of girls born since the beginning of yomtov.

This can help alleviate the shidduch crisis with more boys being born to marry the extra single girls who run out of boys.
But why is there a picture of the Belzer Rebbe?
Finally some GOOD NEWS, Hashem Should send more & more [and only] simchas by Yidden
36 boys – 27 girls?? It looks like the shidduch crisis is B”H over (at least in Visnitz)
THE TRUTH
the source of the info is from a Mazel Tov poster that’s being printed withew in the Chassudus Weekly
but beacuse of the Yumim Tovim the poster wasn’t printed so they printed now for “5” weeks and on the poster there was “26” Boys (not 36) & “19” Girls (not 26)
Anyway Ken Yirbi Bli Ein Hora

BH we should keep hearing about simcha by yidden
#2 That’s the Vizhnitzer Rebbe, R’ Yisrael shlit”a, brother-in-law of the Belzer Rebbe shlit”a.
That is not the Belzer Rebbe. It is R’ Yisroel Hager of Vizhnitz.
While this numbers are great and ken yirbu, this seems like a “regular” week for groups like Satmar or Lubavitch.
I was in Crown Heights last year for a Shabbos and there were ka’h 40 Chassanim being called for their ufruf that week!!!!!
The Chasidim far outnumber the Litvaks worldwide, in Israel and in America as a result of their far higher birth rate over the last 35 years.
And, too as a result, Orthodoxy is fast approaching being a majority of halachic Jews with its high birth rate and baal teshuva rate.
