A rare video was recently revealed by Kikar H’Shabbos of HaGaon Harav Ovadia Yosef, z’tl, requesting from Hagaon Harav Shmuel Halevi Wosner, z’tl, to daven for him.

In 2008, HaRav Yosef was sitting shiva for his brother and the posek hador HaRav Wosner came to his home to be menachem avel, Kikar H’Shabbos reported.

A transcription of their conversation:

HaRav Yosef: “I request from Kevod Toraso, to daven for me that I’ll be healthy. I’m suffering from terrible pain in my back. Kvodo should daven for me that I’ll be healthy.”

HaRav Wosner: “What are the pains from?”

HaRav Yosef: “His tefillah is kodesh. I fell on my back and since then I have terrible pain.”

HaRav Wosner: “Your ribs are okay?”

HaRav Yosef: “My ribs are fine. They did an X-ray, everything was fine but I’m still having pain.”

HaRav Wosner: “May it be the will of our Father in Shamayim that although [as it says] ‘Yesurim are dear to you’ – it should be His will that they pass soon.”

HaRav Yosef: “Amen, thank you very much.”

HaRav Wosner: “I saw that recently Kvodo published a new sefer and sent it to me.”

HaRav Yosef: “In another week, Shabbos Beis will be published. I’ll be getting it soon and I’ll send it to Kvod Toraso. I’m happy for Kvodo to receive every sefer I publish. I’m currently writing on Hilchos Muktzah.”
