The Five Daughters of the Klausenberger Rebbe, Zt”l, in an Exclusive Interview in Ami’s Mega Sukkos Issue

UntitledIn an interview in this week’s Ami Living, the daughters of the Klausenberger Rebbe talk about how their father entrusted each of them in with a separate mission.  In what may surprise many, the daughters reveal how important education for girls was to the Rebbe, so much so that in the early days he would actually teach in the girls’ school, albeit behind a curtain.  The Klausenberger Rebbe’s rebuilding of his kehillah after he survived the horrors of the concentration camps is well-known, but his daughters’ interview reveals many more hitherto unknown aspects of the life, work and accomplishments of the Klausenberger Rebbe.

  1. Unrelated, but in the Displaced Persons camp in Föhrenwald, Germany after the holocaust, the Klausenberger Rebbe, Zt”l saw a girl without socks. He took off his own socks and gave it to her to wear since as he said he had no chiyuv to wear them but she did. She was forever grateful and relates this story until this day.

  2. No doubt that this wonderful women are lamdanot and their father zt”l taught them Torah. But it is noteable that he taught the behind a curtain. Clearly he did not want to set an example.
