Obama: Iran Shouldn’t Assume U.S. Won’t Strike Tehran

obanPresident Barack Obama says his administration’s approach to Syria’s chemical weapons should show Iran that there’s the potential for diplomatic solutions to arms standoffs.

But he says Iran shouldn’t assume that his preference for diplomacy means the U.S. won’t strike Tehran.

Obama tells ABC’s “This Week” that Iranians understand that their pursuit of a nuclear weapon is “a far larger issue for us” than the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

Obama says he has exchanged letters with Iran’s new president, but the two have not spoken directly.

Obama says he believes Iranian President Hasan Rouhani (hah-SAHN’ roh-HAH’-nee) understands the potential for a diplomatic solution to his country’s disputed nuclear program but will not “suddenly make it easy.”

Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

  1. Iran is no fool. As long as Obama, one of their Muslim brothers, is President, the U.S. is a paper tiger and his threats are worthless.

  2. Hey Obummer,
You’re sticking your foot in your mouth again. Your threats against Syria caused the American people, as well as the nations surrounding Syria a heck of a lot of anxiety to say the least. Then you are threatened with all kinds of backlash so you back off and now the world thinks you are a bigger inept idiot than originally thought.
Now it’s your turn to go to work on Iran. You state that a diplomatic solution is entirely possible and that you prefer it but also state “Iran shouldn’t assume that his preference for diplomacy means the U.S. won’t strike Tehran.”
I do think it’s time you shut your mouth and let the experts handle the foreign problems. You haven’t a clue as to what you are talking about and the world is listening and wondering if you screw your head on clockwise or counter-clockwise when you get up in the morning.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. Go home, resign, got write your book titled “Obummer’s Stupidity”, and go see a shrink.

  3. Es past nisht to laugh so hard the day after Yom Kippur but what I can I do? This bumbling comedian-in-chief is too funny. I’m sure after his tough handling of the Syrian crisis (not) Iran is shaking in fear of him.
