US Secretary of Defense John Kerry arrived in Israel on Sunday morning 11 Tishrei 5774 to meet with high level state officials. On the agenda are the ongoing talks between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) as well as developments surrounding the Syrian chemical weapons threat.

Kerry’s arrival follows his talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Geneva, where agreement was reached by which the US and Russia will “disarm” Syria of its chemical weaponry.

For Israel the agreement spells bad news for Jerusalem is aware that Syria was given sufficient time to move the chemical weapons outside the country, as is being reported by the Israeli media and confirmed by rebel forces in that country.
