Chief Rabbi Lau Finds Time for the Special Children Before Yom Kippur

lauDespite the busy schedule of the Chief Rabbi of Israel before Yom Kippur, Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi David Lau set aside time to meet with special education children affiliated with Alei Siach. The rav has been close to the organization during his tenure as Chief Rabbi of Modi’in and was not about to miss the opportunity to wish these special children a gmar chasima tova as chief rabbi.

The children asked Rav Lau if they can give him a bracha on being elected as the new chief rabbi and arrangements were made to bring them to his Jerusalem office to do just that.

Ali Siach Director Rabbi Chaim Perkal said Rabbi Lau has been working with the organization for many years and his connection with many of the children is cherished by him and the children alike.

  1. what a beautiful thing!!! it is so nice to see someone important as him include the little people, i wish our rabbis and others would do the same here in america!!!

  2. The Chazon Ish would stand up when a special child (lofty nsshama) came into his house. Rabbi Lau is walking in his footsteps.
Time all of us walk in the Chazon Ishs’ footsteps.
I’m sure it will hasten the coming of Mosiach.
