Two firebombs were hurled at a Jewish home near Shar HaPerachim (Herod’s Gate) on Yom Kippur, setting a sukka ablaze. Baruch Hashem a security guard who was close by was able to bring the blaze under control. There were no injuries.
Jewish homes in Abu Tor were also targeted in firebomb attacks on Yom Kippur. There was damage in an attack in which the incendiary device ignited on the balcony of a home. B’chasdei H-Shem there was no injuries.
In other violence, HaKol HaYehudi reported on motzei Yom Kippur that an Egged 961 bus traveling in the Jordan Valley was attacked by Arab rock-throwers, resulting in a smashed windshield.
