Rami Levi Joins Nir Barkat Ticket in Mayoral Race

nbaSupermarket magnate Rami Levi told Israel Radio on Thursday morning, 8 Tishrei 5774 that he is running in the number two slot on Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat’s ticket.

Levi explained that his position is voluntary, and because he remains committed to his businesses he will not accept a deputy mayoral slot if the mayor is reelected for that position must be given to one capable of dedicating all his time to the post.

Levi’s name will serve to boost Barkat’s campaign for the owner of the Rami Levi supermarket chain, Rami Levi cellular telephone services and other businesses will enhance the Barkat ticket.

Levi explains that Barkat continues to bring new job opportunities to the city as well as housing and these accomplishments have reversed the negative migration trend.

  1. Rami Levi is the man! If he’s behind Barkat then I suppose he has my vote. However I’d much prefer that Rami Levi be running for mayor and Barkat be his number 2. But then again, if I had my way I’d have Rami Levi be prime minister of the whole country
