Lhota Says He’s Starkly Different From DeBlasio

lhodebRepublican New York City mayoral nominee Joe Lhota says there are stark differences between him and his likely Democratic opponent, Bill de Blasio.

Lhota won his party’s nomination Tuesday. De Blasio emerged as the Democratic front-runner. Lhota says he agrees with Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s policies 85 percent of the time.

Lhota says de Blasio’s approach of starting “from scratch on almost everything is a repudiation of everything great that’s happened over the last 20 years.”

He spoke Thursday on Fox-TV’s “Good Day New York.”

Lhota says his greatest strength is that he will talk to anybody.

Asked if he’ll seek the support of the Rev. Al Sharpton, Lhota says he’s spoken to him in the past and will speak to him in the future.

  1. We are now presented with a stark contrast: Tax increases and rampant crime because the police will be hamstrung. One candidate who changes color and positions based on the crowd and another who sticks to his positions irrecpective of the audience.

  2. No. 1: Be grateful that you are among the people that Mr. deBlasio proposes to tax. Not everyone has $40,000 to send his kid to nursery school, as you surely must, because you are afraid that Mr. deBlasio will tax you.

I do not know who I would support in the contest between Messrs. Lhota and deBlasio, but I like what I hear from Mr. deB.

  3. You do not know my financial status so that statement is irrelevant. How about the police, and stop and frisk, are you also in his camp on those issues? Do you like what you hear from him as it relates to Commisioner Kelly? do you want to return to the Dinken years?

  4. D’ blasio is a LIB

He’s against vouchers, according to him the public school system is a success. (What planet is he from?)

Oh wait, he is happy to throw us a bone and give us bussing. Thank u very much!!!

I know the above because I personally asked him, and that’s what he told me! What a creep!

  5. Why would somebody ask Lhota if he’ll seek rev al sharptongue’s support? Quick, name all the republican candidates sharptongue has supported over the last 25 yrs.
