Thousands of avreichim were on hand Wednesday night, the eve of 8 Tishrei 5774 for the Modi’in Illit kenos chizuk as the Aseres Yimei Teshuvah come to an end. Maranan V’Rabbanan Shlita addressed the forum, headed by HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita.

HaRav HaGaon Rav Eliyahu Mann brought a message from HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, concluding with a personal request from Rav Chaim. “Maran Shlita asked me to make a personal request of this large holy tzibur. These are Maran’s words; ‘It is written in Sefer Chassidim that HKBH watches over Am Yisrael and until the arrival of Moshiach he will give us Gedolei Yisrael which will be responsible for leading the generation and this is how HKBH watches over Am Yisrael. This is the meaning ורוח קדשך אל תיקח ממנו.

“The dedicated leader of this orphan generation is Maran Rav Aaron Leib who should be healthy and well and have arichas yomim. On Yom Kippur, in שמע קולנו, I ask the tzibur when reciting אל תשליכנו לפניך ורוח קדשיך to have in mind the leader of Am Yisrael, HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita, and HKBH should give him koach and he should merit leading us to Moshiach’ the rav stated.”
