Baruch Dayan Emes.
I hope there are no more deaths. I hope the deaths we have already suffered will be enough to convince the selfish people who refuse to practice social distancing to stay home and stay away from other people. hose are the people who think they are smarter than the doctors and Hatzalah, smarter than the CDC and the WHO.
Or worse, those who believe the warnings but don’t care because they are young and in good health. Newsflash: More than half the patients infected are aged 18-49. There is a 12-year-old girl on a ventilator fighting for her life.
Think it can’t happen to you?
Any chance that a second Adar will be added by Gedolei Hador, to delay pessach?
Willie Stern was born in July 1935, so he was 84 (not 86)
Willy z”l was someone special, kept our local mosdos alive for many decades, and cared deeply for yiddishkeit. He fully sponsored kosher food in universities for Jewish students and provided social safe place for students. He was a Torah yid and a remnant of a bygone era that is forever lost.

Willy went thru a lot in his life, yet he was always positive, he should be a mayliz yosher
lowerourtuition11210, with all seriousness, I’d rather the Gedolei Hador make yomtov 1 day throughout the globe (as dictated by the Torah) or allow Kitniyos for all frum Jews (as dictated by the Torah). It’ll take me a long time to understand how a Rabbinic ordinance (second day of Yomtov in Chutz L’eretz) pushes off a Torah commandment (Teffilin).
Baruch Dayan Haemet, Very sad to hear this news. We met R. Stern and his family in Hungary at the Lativ Shabbaton in Kisvarda. HaMakom Yenachem Etchem.
Refua Shelemah for Moshe Shalom Eliezer ben Shoshan Roisa (משה שלום אליעזר בן שושנה רויזא).
