A family with eight children that has an apartment on Hashomer Street in Bnei Brak is homeless ahead of Rosh Hashanah due to its dire financial situation. As the family’s funds were depleted the father understood all that remains is to rent their apartment to generate income and move to a less expensive area. The apartment was rented to a family with ten children. The homeowner took his family to Yishuv Hashmonaim, located near Modi’in Illit. However, due to financial difficulties, the family with ten children that is renting the apartment has not paid rent for three months.
As a result, the homeowner living in Hashmonaim was unable to pay rent in that community and they headed back to Bnei Brak. The family [with 10 children] renting the Bnei Brak home phoned police. Police instructed the homeowner he will have to turn to the courts seeking an eviction order.
The courts are on vacation until after the yomim tovim and the homeowner has been able to have his plea heard as an urgent case. Therefore, he and his wife, together with their 8 children are now living in a tent after neighbors helped them to arrange setting it up near the home.
Askanim in the city have become involved and the family in the tent has received the basics to survive tent life.
Ulamei Nof Catering, under the management of the Klein brothers provided the tent family with Shabbos provisions.

We need Moshiach!
Recently people seem to be very disoriented.
That’s 18 children that are victims of poor parenting. How can mothers and fathers have so many kids without knowing where the next meal will come from.
I don’t understand they didn’t just sell the apt. originally and live off that money.
Why hasn’t anyone in Bnei Brak/Yer./RBS etc… taken them in at least until after the holidays??
There’s a very simple solution – hire a property manager. They take a certain percentage of the rent (~15%) but it’s well worth the relief from עגמת נפש.
You can’t help but feel sorry for the family, especially the kids, but one thing makes absolutely no sense. Hashmonaim is an American style community and is a high priced area. You can rent an apartment in Bnai Brak for much less. Why would the family go to Hashmonaim. Something is amiss here.
The court eviction process is sometimes a draining process- mentally, financially, and emotionally. The proper thing the tenants should do is move out on their own. Not paying your landlord rent for three months resulting in an eviction on the street is not a breach of chesed- but is the proper thing to do to non-paying tenants.
