Three Arab males on Monday morning, 20 Elul 5773, pounced on an elderly Jewish woman who was walking in a park on Shivtei Yisrael Street in Yerushalayim, in the Musrarah neighborhood. They assaulted her, grabbed her jewelry and valuables and fled.
Border police began a search for the perpetrators, apprehending two Arab males, both in possession of some of the woman’s stolen items. When border police came to speak with the woman and return some of the stolen items they learned that she is an area resident as well as a grandmother of one of the officers who apprehended the attackers.
Baruch Hashem the report does not speak of the victim sustaining physical injuries.

There is a need for increased security patrol throughout the neighborhood. This might be a perfect venue for additional Charedi police guards.
