The heads of yeshivos gedolos in Eretz Yisrael gathered on Wednesday evening 8 Elul 5773 in Bnei Brak for a kenos led by Gedolei Yisrael Shlita. The kenos addressed the gezeiros being faced by the chareidi tzibur in Eretz Yisrael today.
The kenos, which was the initiative of the Bnei Emunim organization headed by Rabbi Dov Mermorstein has done a great deal in recent years to give a chizuk to yeshivos. The kenos was held in the Lederman Shul in the Chazon Ish neighborhood and among those in attendance were HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Dov Povarsky Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Dov Yafeh Shlita and roshei yeshiva.
