Two police officers reportedly have been shot and a suspect killed during a domestic dispute in New Jersey’s capital city.

According to broadcast reports, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office says one officer was shot in the shoulder and the other was shot in the back on Hobart Street in Trenton Thursday.

The suspect was shot and killed.

The Trenton Police Department was not able to immediately confirm the reports and the prosecutor’s office tells The Associated Press a spokesman was not immediately available to comment.
