DA Hynes, once considered a friend of the Orthodox community, has lost much of its backing. After a slew of negative comments by Hynes against Orthodox Jews, including comparing them to the Mafia, his opponent, former federal prosecutor Kenneth Thompson, has received the endorsement of many prominent Jewish leaders. If Hynes losses the Jewish vote on Primary Day,September 4, many observers believe that Thompson will be Brooklyn’s new DA.
In an exclusive and wide-ranging interview with Ami Magazine, Thompson condemned Hynes’ attacks on the Jewish community.”I’m not interested in criminalizing entire communities,” said Thompson. “And I can’t tolerate that.”
At the same time, he detailed some of the other inequities he’s seen Hynes’ office engaged in. He criticized both the spate of overturned convictions that have occurred in Brooklyn recently and Hynes’ Kol Tzedek program for the Jewish community.

Thompson is an anti-semite who said he will prosecute the Orthodox Jewish community since Hynes has been too nice to us. Thompson said Hynes shows the Orthodox favoritism!
90% of Boro Park is voting for Hynes.
