Feds Agree To Examine NYPD ‘Ramarley Graham’ Shooting

ramThe U.S. Justice Department now says it will look into last year’s shooting death of an unarmed Bronx teenager. Federal prosecutors will review evidence for possible civil rights violations in the death of Ramarley Graham, 18.

His parents led a protest yesterday that started outside the Bronx district attorney’s office and made its way to Harlem.

It came a day after a grand jury decided not to re-indict NYPD officer Richard Haste, who fired the fatal shots.

The original manslaughter charges against Haste were tossed out in May because of a mistake by prosecutors.

Lawyers for Haste say he chased Graham into his home because he thought Graham had a gun.

The Bronx DA’s office said in a statement it was shocked and saddened by the grand jury’s decision.

  1. Wasnt this the case where the kid made it look like he had a gun or something? I dont know why anyone would want to be a cop if after every time some lowlife crook is killed by a cop there’s g’henim to pay for.
