A new poll finds City Council Speaker Christine Quinn leading her rivals in the Democratic primary race to become New York City’s next mayor.
But the New York Times/Siena College poll released Thursday also notes that about a quarter of Democratic voters still remain undecided.
Quinn had the support of 25 percent of voters. Former city comptroller Bill Thompson had 16 percent and Public Advocate Bill de Blasio had 14 percent.
The poll says Anthony Weiner had the support of 10 percent of Democrats. Before the former congressman’s latest sexting scandal broke, he was near the top of some polls.
The poll surveyed 505 registered Democrats reached by telephone earlier in August. The margin of error is plus or minus four percentage points.
