The levaya for the Sifrei Torah destroyed in the Netanya shul fire last week will take place today, Monday 29 Menachem Av 5773. The shul located on Nordau Street was targeted by a lone arsonist. Damage in the blaze was extensive, including the total or partial destruction of 10 Sifrei Torah R”L.

The city’s rabbonim have called for a day of tefilos and fasting coinciding with Yom Kippur Koton. The Sanzer Rebbe Shlita is expected to deliver words of hisorarus to the tzibur during the levaya which will get underway in the afternoon, leaving from the shul. The levaya will begin with the recitation of Yom Kippur Koton, followed by mincha and the levaya.
