Hackers using smart TVs to spy on consumers is not a science fiction plot device, but could be a growing security problem, according to Sen. Charles Schumer.
The senator is asking manufacturers to create a standard of security for TVs which are connected to the Internet and have built-in cameras and microphones, saying researchers have been able to hack into unsecured television webcams and spy into people’s living rooms.
Schumer says manufacturers say consumers can thwart hackers by covering the built-in cameras or turn off the TVs when they are not in use.

Bauch Hashem frum yidden barely know what a TV is, let alone C”V actually have one. So this is, certainly, one problem none of us need worry about.
This is one threat that none of us have to worry about since we don’t have TVs. I assume what the cameras would see couldn’t be any worse than what’s seen on TV anyway.
What’s the point of the camera if they tell you to cover it ???
