A 25-year-old male who was running to catch the Jerusalem light rail at the Yad Sarah stop on Herzl Boulevard found himself trapped under the train on Friday, 26 Menachem Av 5773.

The man somehow got trapped underneath the train, which Baruch Hashem was traveling slowly as it was coming to a stop. Fire rescue arrived and raised the car with airbags. The man’s condition was described a light-to-moderate when he was transported down the block to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He was conscious and alert the entire time as rescue workers were operating on the scene to free him.
